We used the services of Halcyon Yachts for a passage across Biscay from Guernsey to A Coruna in October this year. They provided a skipper to assist with the trip. The process was very straightforward with good communications from the Halcyon team. The skipper had a huge amount of experience and allowed the rest of the crew to relax and enjoy the crossing... Would definitely recommend Halcyon Yachts.

Excellent service from Halcyon on the delivery of our motor yacht from Ayamonte to Falmouth. From the word go communications between the office and ourselves was excellent. Similarly with the extremely competent Skipper and his crew who provided us with text, photo & video updates. Safety of the crew and vessel was paramount at all times. Our yacht is rather elderly and some problems were encountered on the way. However Halcyon coped very well doing some running repairs and coaxed her back to Falmouth on schedule. We were very pleased with all services from Halcyon and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. A job well done.

Following Brexit, Covid and our approaching eighties, my wife and I decided to arrange for our Westerly Oceanquest to be brought back to the UK from Lefkas Marina, Greece. After looking at the cost and requirements of road transport and ship transport, we decided to arrange for a crew to sail the yacht back. On first contacting Phil Wood of Halcyon Yachts Ltd. and discussing our requirements, we felt extremely confident in his organisation and arrangements. This confidence was well placed. After dealing with the paperwork formalities, Halcyon Yachts arranged for a competent skipper and two very able crew to meet us in Lefkas Marina for yacht handover. All three were a joy to work with. They were thorough, polite and competent in their safety checks of the yacht and equipment. We immediately felt that our yacht would be in safe hands and during our initial discussions it was clear that the safety of the delivery team and our yacht was priority and risks would not be taken. Following an enjoyable and entertaining evening meal, we wished the crew bon voyage and flew to the UK the following day. Delivery from Greece to the UK took just under a month, with approximately 50% sailing and 50% motoring. We monitored wind conditions through the Predict Wind site as the yacht proceeded on route. The skipper’s professionalism in determining a route and maximising wind conditions was second to none. In doubtful conditions, the yacht was in a marina or anchored until wind conditions became favourable. Throughout the voyage it was clear that our yacht was in very safe hands. Although we and the crew went through a thorough check before our yacht left Greece, there were a few teething problems on passage. Unperturbed, the crew dealt with them competently and professionally and informed us as the voyage progressed. After our yacht arrived in Torquay Marina, the skipper completed document formalities, arranged for the crew to thoroughly clean the boat and informed us within a few hours of their arrival. The yacht was as clean and tidy as we had left it in Greece. My wife and I have nothing but praise for Halcyon Yachts Ltd. We would highly recommend Halcyon Yachts Ltd for organising and arranging a professional and competent crew for any similar yacht or boat delivery.

We requested a quote from Halcyon on the basis of a post on one of the Cruising Association forums from one of their previous satisfied customers. We are glad we did. We were impressed with the thoroughness of preparations for the trip, including detailed checklists of the equipment and condition of the vessel. All the documentation was clear and easy to understand. We were pleased to talk and correspond with our allocated Delivery Skipper before, during and after the trip. His questions about the boat and its equipment demonstrated a commitment to safety and good preparation for the passage. We certainly felt that she was in good hands. The Halcyon Yachts fee for the delivery and crew's expenses were very reasonable, in all the circumstances. The skipper assured me that he and the crew were as economical as they could be with their travel, accommodation and other arrangements. Engaging Halcyon Yachts proved to be the most economical, simple, and stress-free way of repatriating Noisette. We recommend them.

Halcyon Yachts delivered our Maxi 33 Kjempekjekk from Lagos (Portugal) to Poole (UK). From the outset communication with the company and the skipper was excellent. They really are a good team, friendly, easy to deal with and extremely professional. We consider ourselves reasonably experienced sailors, quite capable of getting the boat home ourselves, however on this occasion several personal reasons, in addition to the added complexities introduced by Brexit and covid-19, directed us towards the delivery option. Kjempekjekk was returned to Poole serviceable and in good condition. A couple of minor quirks occurred en-route but it appears these were dealt with quickly and successfully. We were fully briefed by the skipper on the day she returned to Poole and there is no doubt that we would use Halcyon Yachts again should the need arise. As one of us is getting on a bit now, this might be sooner than we think ....! Highly recommended.

Recently used Halcyon to do an owner assist delivery of our new yacht from Guernsey to Slovenia. Can't thank all of them enough for the 5-star service from start to finish. The flexibility when we had to change our plans on route and the constant support received. The most outstanding of all was our skipper. The most professional, knowledgeable, calm and adaptable skipper we could ask for, a real team player. He taught us so much on the trip and gave us the experience and confidence to get out and enjoy our new yacht.

I am delighted with the service provided by Halcyon Yachts in returning my boat from Port de Folleux in France back to the UK. The organisational side was excellent with all the necessary paperwork being sorted out for me. I cannot praise highly enough the professionalism and care shown by the delivery skipper and crew. It was a pleasure sailing with them and they looked after my boat extremely well.

I must pass on my thanks and give a glowing recommendation to Halcyon Yacht Deliveries who have just brought my Grenadier back to the UK from the Netherlands. We weren't allowed to fetch her ourselves due to the Dutch and English covid rules, but Halcyon managed to find a dual nationality skipper who could make the crossing. Having never used a delivery firm before I was quite sceptical, especially as our boat is old and quite quirky, but the skipper took two days extra to familiarize himself with the boat (at his cost) and the whole trip went like a dream. The boat was even washed and tidied after 6 months ashore. The price was fantastic. I would definitely use them again.
