Typical yacht delivery process

  1. Following initial contact, we will provide you with a quote for the requested yacht delivery.
  2. We will then send you our order form and booking information documents.
  3. We assign your yacht delivery skipper and crew following receipt of the signed order form and deposit.
  4. If required Halcyon Yachts can help you to prepare the vessel for sea.
  5. Your skipper and crew will arrive at the Yacht. A full inventory will be conducted, including a check of safety equipment, ensuring flares, life raft and fire extinguishers etc are in date.
  6. If the weather is suitable then the yacht delivery will commence.  The skipper may contact us at the office at any time for weather updates or routing advice.
  7. Your yacht skipper will choose the best route with the safety and wellbeing of the boat and crew in mind.
  8. Your skipper will keep you regularly updated with your yacht’s position.
  9. You can also contact your skipper at any time if you have any questions or want an update.
  10. The yacht delivery crew will thoroughly clean your boat on completion.
  11. You are welcome to come along for a handover in person or we can leave the keys somewhere secure.
  12. Your skipper will give you a delivery report.  If you want any advice following the delivery then we are always happy to talk.
