Professional yacht delivery is permitted during these difficult times and buying a second-hand boat (for the first time) is a voyage into the unknown. In a year afflicted by both Covid-19 and Brexit constraints, Halcyon were professional, friendly, polite and helpful throughout. I was really impressed by the Halcyon service. Having just bought a thirty year old Starlight in Southend I used Halcyon to move the boat to Dartmouth. The skipper was excellent company and immensely experienced. He was very generous with his time in discussing everything he did to evaluate and prepare the boat. The journey itself was great fun and a really wonderful introduction to my new boat. I think I learnt more in four days that I have in any other week of my sailing career.
We were very pleased with the delivery of our yacht "White Spice". We were kept up to date on how everything was progressing and despite the weather's best efforts to hamper the delivery it all went well. We were delighted with the service, especially as, with an older yacht, straight after an extensive refit, a mechanical snag was encountered on the trip which the crew handled professionally and without fuss. The crew even used moderate RPM for the trip, favouring kindness to the yacht and fuel economy over an extra knot or two... I would be more than happy to recommend Halcyon to anyone needing their yacht moved.
