Halcyon Yachts is pleased to announce that they will be running another Yacht Delivery Skipper’s Development Week in April 2022. It is an intensive course that will focus on giving the students essential skills and knowledge in preparation to work as a yacht delivery skipper.

The instructor for the course is one of our senior yacht delivery skippers. The course will be held aboard a beautiful Sweden Yachts 42 sailing from Lough Foyle and around the Inner and Outer Hebrides. The yacht is fully coded (CAT 2) and is well equipped for offshore sailing.

The course is aimed at sailors who have already experienced RYA training and who are looking to widen their knowledge in preparation to work as a yacht delivery skipper. Director of Halcyon Yachts, Pete Green, says, “This is a fantastic opportunity to sail and learn from one of the best yacht delivery skippers in the business. Dan will put you through your paces and will share all of his tips and tricks along the way. Dan is a great instructor and mentor and raconteur with a great sense of humour, and some great stories. I learned loads about skippering a boat, and about the expectations of Halcyon and their clients. The course is of great benefit to aspiring skippers whether they intend to do deliveries with Halcyon or wish to hone their leadership and management soft skills. The area around Islay, Jura and Northern Ireland are challenging waters. Time spent in planning yields great rewards of beautiful, remote anchorages, and amazing wildlife.  If you are in any doubt, I had a great week.”

This 5-day course starts on April 8th 2022 and will be running again on April 22rd 2022. The cost is £800 per person. Halcyon Yachts are offering an exclusive 10% discount to any of our yacht delivery crew, bringing the price down to just £720.
