We have decided to upgrade our sat phones from iridium to inmarsat. The new Isatphone offers cheaper data rates than the portable iridium phones and therefore will help to ensure that our clients get the best value for money with satellite communications.
Although many vessels we deliver are fitted with SSB radio, the added reliability and range of a Sat phone is crucial when executing long distance deliveries. Halcyon Yachts offers remote weather forecasting and routing advice to our Skippers wherever they may be.
