26 Mar Covid-19 Impact on Yacht Deliveries
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, domestic and international travel is severely restricted. Social distancing is now being enforced and most nations have implemented a range of strategies to deal with the virus. These strategies affect border controls and freedom of movement.
Many ports and marinas are currently closed and recreational sailing is even restricted in various countries. We are therefore unable to undertake any yacht deliveries at the present time. For the safety of our yacht delivery crew and the wider community, we will continue to adhere to the Governments advice.
Halcyon Yachts office remains open, albeit remotely. When this pandemic is brought under control, we expect the restrictions to be lifted. We are still open to talk to both clients and crew. We are also taking reservations for yacht deliveries which we will carry out when we are permitted. Please get in touch to discuss your options, for further advice and to book your yacht delivery.
Some of our crew-members also work in healthcare in various settings including the NHS. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their dedicated hard work during these extremely challenging times. We look forward to welcoming them back on board in the near future.
